Dear Senior pon1965,
An appointment letter is essentially a draft of the terms of employment for an individual joining an organization, encompassing compensation, salary, service rules, and terms effective during the specified period.

Dear [Name],
An offer letter is provided before joining a job. An appointment letter is given after joining the job. The difference between the two is that an offer letter specifies when you are expected to join the job, the salary you will receive, your position, and the department you will be working in.
On the other hand, an appointment letter outlines the terms and conditions of your job after you have joined.
Thank you.

Dear Annutluck,
I was surprised to read your query. I do not know how serious you are in asking this question. As in your other query, you have claimed to have been working in AISECT University-HR Dept. I am sure you have not joined and been continuing in the AISECT University without an appointment, which must have details of your terms and conditions. As such, I could not understand the reason for asking this question, especially by an official working as an HR personnel in a university. I hope it was not for FUN.
