Dear Friend,
I was working in a consultancy with small group as a recruitment consultant.Now i want to switch to a company.I have applied in many companies and getting calls.Can anyone tell me the work culture difference between the Placement firm and a company?,so that i will be well prepared for the interview.

Work culture in both may be same, though the establishments are different since the characteristic features of a good culture such as manners, etiquette, the tradition of grooming, sharing, caring and consulting, may be same.Probably you want to know about the difference in the functions and roles in a recruitment consultancy and a company.In a recruitment consultancy, your role is un-functional having been confined to recruitment and your skills have more sales and marketing orientation as you need to convert a contact into a contract with a company.The HR role in a company is multi-functional ranging from recruitment to retirement. You need to look after manpower planning, sourcing, deployment, training, motivation,employee engagement, statutory compliances, disciplinary management., grievance handling, employee relations and full &final settlement procedures. It thus offers a far wider exposure depending up on the size, nature of industrial /business activity,work traditions etc. You can take call depending up on your career aspirations and comfort feelings.
