Manufacturing companies have quality management systems in place. These need to be integrated into the PMS. In order to form KRA you need to get the job profile and expectations from senior management and then finalise the KRA with agreement from management and the employees. A good sample format for can be found here, http://hmc.edu <link fixed> . The descriptions are basic and general and multiple rows would need to be added.
Goals and expectations for roles need to be written carefully, and these can be enhanced for individuals. A good PMS is detailed and comprehensive and reflects the reality of job roles and organisations expectations.
Performance Management is all about bridging the gap between the persons real potential and current performance. If the performance appraisal needs to be effective, then the best method is to make use of Psychology based assorted assessment tools in order to gain a holistic perspective. This should give you and the management a comprehensive and objective understanding of one's Strengths and areas of improvement.
Toyota, Bosch, Volvo, Fiat, Maini Group, Quest Global, Machaero, JK Tyre, Eicher Engines, are just a few examples where such interventions have helped in improving performance in both quality and quantity. Please do feel free to visit OMi Oscar Murphy or email
