Dear All, Good Evening!! May be my situation is a little wired but I really want you all to help me with it.

I recently joined a company located in Raipur (C.G) as a Hr executive. Before I head further I honestly want to tell you all one thing that i am just a B.com( specialization in CRM) student and have no clue about HR policies and other stuff however I'm perusing MBA in HR from symbiosis (distance mode) which i think will be a little help only and in addition to it I have landed in a company which does not adhere to any rules and regulations. I always wanted to get into this department and i really think i can do my best in this field . But i am here in a place where payroll itself has its own definition. Changing company is not a solution because in Raipur work culture is not as developed in another place. I have worked before in company like HSBC and GE capital and hence i know how gud hr policies and procedures are. i really want to learn and change the hr functioning way over here . But i need to do it by my self as my boss is not helping me out(this is how it is in raipur unfortunetly) .

So firstly i want you all to suggest how to learn the hr policies and all related forms and acts etc and from where to start.

if anyone can help me with the list of the same ..it would be a great help.

Secondly ,i would be great full if anyone can suggest me how to excel in this field .. Hope you all understant :)

Thank you .

Dear Tripti
"It is said that two things in this world which we do not get of our choice:
1) PARENTS
2) BOSS"
So for get it what type of boss you have got, just concentrate about your learnings & career. Along with professional qualification one should have the tactics to deal with the environment, culture & specially the bosses ( for the person who is in HR).
Right now just notice the positive points of your boss & try to learn how he/she has come to that post.
As far as HR policies & rules are concern, whenever any task come to you & confuses you in terms of policies just go the bare act of the same or confirm the same by the community (FOR OUR KNOWLEDGE & LEARNING)
But do the task as per the culture , environment & instructions of your boss.
Firstly complete your MBA and try to correlate the topics with your day to day office module. It will help you a lot.
Overall Google is here for your confusions & clarifications for any topic.
Go ahead you are in right field i.e. HR.
