why domestic cylinders are not using in industries? Is there any legal requirement for this of safety aspects.I know lpg is explossive gas. But what is the difference of usinig domestic lpg cylinder instead of commertial/industrial.

Domestic cylinders are given to Home Use in subsidized rate by the Government. That's the reason you are getting the LPG Cylinders around Rs.400/- per cylinder. As you are doing business, the Government need not to give any concession and you can collect the same from the customer/client for the expenditure incurred. Even for Marriage the Commercial cylinders only authorised and you should not use the subsidized cylinders supplied by IOC/BP.
As a matter of fact one must use O2 cylinders and DA Cylinders for doing Gas Cutting/welding activities and not even LPG Cylinders eventhough it is commercial cylinders. The commercial cylinders are not safer comparing to O2 & DA cylinders which is used after fitting the standard quality flash-back arresters.

Dear Bhaskar thank u for ur answer. I am asking for legal requirements of "do not use domestic cylinders" in industries. And also what about commertial LPG cylinders(20.5KG) using in industries. Is it safe?
Tell me the Gas cylinder rules about using Domestic/Commertial cylinders using in industries/Construction sites.

Dear Jakeer
Mr. Bhaskar has already answered the query that it is illegal to use domestic LPG cylinders for any other purpose such as Industrial, Commercial or in vehicles, except for domestic cooking.
There has been several Acts and Orders by the Central Govt. from time to time on this such as LIQUEFIED PETROLEUM GAS (REGULATION OF
As per Liquefied Petroleum Gas Control Order - 2001, one can be fined or imprisoned upto 7 years or both.
There is no point in having arguments; pointing out violation of others, or analyzing other aspects for inducing or favouring an illegal act. There are several discussion on this topic in CiteHR, and you can use the "research" tab on top of the page to find them,

Dear Jakeer
It is not safe to use the LPG cylinder in Industry. In home also we have to keep the cylinder at the bottom and the Gas Stove to be place above the level of Cylinder in the Cooking Platform. Because there are chances of leakage of liquid from the cylinder if the cylinder kept in lying position, so that there are chances of catching fire in tube and other combustible material. Even the cylinder can burst and can cause damage to the entire house and life of the personnel using the cylinder.
If you keep the O2 Cylinder in its trolley and DA Cylinder separately and both the tubes are connected at one edge where it will mix up and before that the standard Flash back arresters at both inlet to be fitted for complete safety. If you ignite near the cutting /welding torch then you will be fully secured.
Please forget about the Laws/Acts/Statutory complaince. Let us think of our safety while working. Work safely, live peacefully and keep the family happy and enjoy our life.

Yes it can be used but not the home cylinders as said earlier by Bhaskr. The safety aspects have to be taken into account. Boyond 6 cylinders(not very of numbers), need clearance from Explosives board clerance. You have to define a safety policy and process. Create process for emergency. Train people on first aid. It should not be inside building, etc. Have to define Disaster Mgt systems and DRT(disaster retrieval systems). Safety engineering process has to be defined.Mock drills to be conducted. FHS or fire extinguishers to be in place. Audits have to be conducted as a part os process. ISO 18001 can also be implemented along with safety processes through the factory.Get the fire dept for an audit!! You may contact me if more info reqd..9886518814..sripathy
