Seniors:

Please help me and my team members on how to react to this below given situation.

Of late our superior extracts work beyond our ability.

As per company rules, Saturday and Sundays are Holiday. And if we work on those days, either Compensatory Off or that particular day salary will given. But both these neglected for us and we are forced to work on Week ends. BUT this is not applicable to him. He spends time with his family during week ends. This is happening for the past 8 months. Can we question him back??

He Claims that we have plenty of work to do and unless we stretch our timings in the evening and work we cannot complete the assigned task. He stays till night 10 PM and he says when he sits why should we sit till 10 PM. But the reality is, since he is staying as a paying guest in his sister house, he is hesitant to leave office on time. We all know this fact and can we question him back??

Some words/statements which he used are not digestible. Like, "This is not enough for you people, I should give you mental torture", "Get Lost", "Leave your family aside, Im important to you, then only your family", "Dont you have brain". He always portrays us in bad light to other department heads. Can we question him back???

Since all the work is done on time and in perfection, the management feels that he superior is doing a nice job. But the reality is we do the work and he gets his name. Can we question him back???

Can a superior say "Get out of my office" in a angry face????

My Entire team members feels ashamed and are in great agony. Since want of time, I have stated only few instances. Will the management take any action against my superior if we tell what all happened and how he tortures us.

Can we give written statement signed by all the team members or should we tell the management verbally.

Please give your valuable suggestions which will help me and team members to proceed further.

Regards,

Freddie

What your superior is doing is not within acceptable standard.
You can complain to your senior management, but you need to back it with proof. Then again, you have a risk. Senior Management would weigh, whom they need - Your team or your superior. If they feel, your superior is more important, entire team or half of them could be fired.
So, don't overdo anything. Give little clue to your senior management and watch how they respond. If your senior management does not heed, better option is look for another job. During exit interview, don't criticize your superior personally. Obtain relieving letter smoothly.
