Kindly note that I was working in a private firm. Now, after retirement, I am receiving a meager pension from EPF (Family Pension Scheme). Somebody informed me that I can avail ESI for medical treatment and medication. Kindly inform whether I am eligible for that, and if yes, how and what are the formalities for the same.

Thanks,
P. Shah

Dear Pradeep G Shah, There is no connection with EPF Pension and ESI. Whether you draw pension from EPF or not you may avail all the Medical Facilities from ESI. Abbas.P.S

I was a member of ESI until 1998, but after that, my salary crossed the limit. Now, in the year I had taken retirement and am receiving a family pension. Can my family become a member of ESI if I pay the required premium for them? Please inform me as the pension given is very low.
