Hi everyone i am siddharth working as a hr in a international bpo. this organisation just started like 2 months back. now we are planning to give an extra allowances apart from the salary to our employees. 1. night shift allowance as its an international call centre so people will be wrkng in an evening shift as well as in night shift. so we are planning to give a night shift allowances to people wrkng in night shifts. 2. transport allowance employees who dnt tk company s transport facility will get sm extra money as a transport allowance. 3. attendance allowance this is basically to motivate employees to cum to wrk everyday & to wrk extra. now am trying to figure out how exactly these all allowances wrk.. please help me out guys..
Night shift allowances - is my office following rules as per law are not?
I am working on consolidated pay and recently i was asked to work on shifts. the timings are ashift: 08am to 04pm bshift: 12.00pm to 8.00pm cshift: 04.00pm to 12.00am. and i am coming to my office from a distance of 30km and after 8.00pm there will be no transport available to go home after shift hours and not providing any transport. my office is giving me an amount of rs. 50/ per day as night shift allowance only on cshift working days in a month. does the above content come under any act or sections in law. is my office following rules as per law are not. are there any special provisions in labour law for such allowances. can i question them?
Need suggestions regarding allowances
Hi i work in hr in my company in the maldives. my seniors have asked me to break current salaries into wages and allowances. i checked existing allowance names and they are as below. can anyone suggest any alternative name for these allowances or additional allowances i can suggest to them. food allowance this is ok accommodation allowance this is also ok tea allowance need a better suggestion extra allowance need a better suggestion our company provides telephone and sim cards for all staff so we do not have communication allowance. traveling allowance is not required as all travel related expense are provided on request or reimbursed to staff. thanks muna

Hi all i would like to know if shift allowance can be restricted to certain levels. our company used to pay night shift allowance for everyone except the top management. we are thinking of cutting the night shift allowance from the team leader level and above now but compensate it with a salary hike. is that okay? or is it mandatory that team leaders should be given the shift allowance as well.
Overtime calculation - what constitutes gross pay - it includes basic, da, hra and all allowances?
Hi all i read extensively in our forum about overtime how it is calculated and the criteria. i still have some doubts which i hope to get clarified. my organisation is into underwriting services. when we say gross pay it includes basic da hra and all allowances. does it include the monthly performance bonus and shift allowance? when calculating esic we include performance bonus and shift allowance for the gross pay. is it the same for overtime as well. every month i have a different gross salary because of the varying shift allowance and performance bonus. i am finding difficulty in fixing the gross salary for calculation. kindly help.
Shift allowance denied by company when they requested to wfh because of corona virus.
Hi i am an employee of reputed company in bangalore and currently doing rotational shift for usa shift. due to the outbreak company has requested to wfh in bangalore and many employees in my team are working from home but while checking managers are saying whoever works from home will not be given shift allowance as per hr policy many employess are also working in night shift also. is there any law in india which we can use to claim this. they are taking advantage of the situation to deny shift allowance. we are supporting usa timezone in india and currently 4 shifts which run under this. we are forced to go to office to get shift allowance. is this legal and can someone suggest a solution for this? thanks in advance.
