Hi,

I worked with one of the top Software Company in Chennai for 1.10 years and resigned my job on 31st March 213. Two months back I have applied for PF reimbursement and yesterday I got the amount credited to my account.

But I was very much surprised because the amount credit was not even 25% of the amount I was expected. I called my friend who recently got his PF reimbursed and he was also saying the same. He also told many of them are facing the same problem and the payroll team is not responding properly when we are asking about this.

I mailed my Company and asked them for my consolidate pay slip and Form 16, they have sent me documents immediately. Mentioning all the parameters in the documents I have mailed them back asking the reason what went wrong but they yet didn’t reply to my mail.

Meantime I checked with PF Office but they are saying whatever amount they had in amount they have credited and for any other queries I need contact only the Organization.

I never expect such a branded Organization will do like this. Please suggest me what I can do further on this?

Thanks,

Pradeep.

If you have Form 16 showing the actual PF amount deducted you can make a complaint to the PF commissioner .He will take action under Sec 7 A and 14 of the Act. Varghese Mathew

Dear Pradeep,

In general every organization will follow the guide lines of PF Authority. If you feel that the PF amount is very low you can calculate yourself based on your Pay-Slip. I am giving the calucations hehre under keeping inview of Basic Is Rs.6500/-: is statuory limit fixed by PF authorities. If your Basic+DA+Others are more then your company will calculate accourdingly as per your appointment letter.

1. Employee contribution: 12% (i.e. Basic+DA+other allowances if any)

2. Employer contribtution caluculation. 3.67% for PF and 8.33% Pension Scheme. This calculation based Basic+DA+Others are Rs.6,500). Please check the same with your Pay-Slip. If your figure is more Rs.542/- will go to Pension Fund

and balance amount will go for PF account. The pension fund liability will be deducted from employer contribution and not from your conribution. You can also check your balance giving mentioning your PF number online and you will know your company has calculated.

Based on your Form 16 or your monthly Pay-Slip you can also take help of your friends.

If have any further clarificiation feel free to write me.
