I am B.E graduate , passed out in 2011 later i worked in start up company for 14 months as team lead and receiving client requirements and took interview for fresher candidate in hiring process, it was more of multiple tasks than one task always so now i am looking to change job and enter into IT recruiter job so should i put experience in my resume or just go as fresher because i have not worked in full fledged in IT recruitment it was start up company and so no standard process of hiring like using job portals and sourcing and screening resume kind, so i am totally confused, in interview all are asking real time sourcing and screening and position closing terms which i dont' have much experience but well aware of those terms, i can do that job. still employer expecting only experience.
Kindly advise me , how i should pursue next job and get sooner, plz share your thoughts. Thank you all.

Dear Anandmsrit,

You have worked in a startup with multiple responsibilities . It means you have learnt more than what was expected in those first few months to your career.

Lets categorise them first. Let them be as diverse as they are, still list them down.

You have an idea to which role you want to apply. Hence the degree of knowledge in that role is all what you need to showcase.

Lets now pick only those relevant areas and define your role in delivering that.

Lets also define the educational background that would be require to deliver them and how far you have them. In case you have completed any certification or MOOC/Udemy course on them, lets include them.

Finally, lets have a clear view to how much compensation would be offered to deliver such a job.

Even though we all understand fitment, working in a startup adds value in more than one way.

Have you identified the firms who are big on hiring employees from startups?

Guess you are mostly good to go now!

Looking forward to hear from you
