Hello Seniors,
I want to start a company which will conduct employee satisfaction surveys of other medium scale companies in Pune.
The motto is to find out and present how much the employees are satisfied, for how much duration they will remain in the company, what are the factors causing them to leave/remain in the company.
I need your comments/feedback on following points.
1. If my content is strong, will the companies allow me to conduct the survey?(Will the companies outsource this?)
2. How much appox should we charge for this?
3. What do i need to be read with to start this company?
4. Are there any companies which are already doing this but are not famous?
(I have done my MBA-HR and have 1 yr experience in Training and development.)
(i have gone through many threads in this community but didnt get specific information)
I am eagerly waiting for your expert comments and feedback on this.
Regards,
Arjun

Well, most often employees are not fully satisfied with their current employer and there could be many reasons for the same but still what you should add is the level of satisfaction for the employees like employees are
fully satisfied,
having higher level of satisfaction
Having low satisfaction
Totally not satisfied
It would help as its hard to get full satisfaction being an employee and at some level employees have to compromise or adjust with company policies. So what make employees to stay in a company is depend on the satisfaction level they have, if's it's low they can leave anytime whenever they got a good offer.
Also, if satisfaction level is too low and employee don't find comfortable to continue then they sometimes leave the company without waiting to get another offer in hand.

Dear Arjun,
Let me ask you a few questions so that experts can give you some precise help. Kindly answer the following questions.
What knowledge do you have of designing questionnaires and testing their validity and reliability? If you are not designing your own questionnaire, have you searched the web and decided upon whose questionnaire to use, why and how much it will cost?
Do you think organisations will employ a person who has not got much experience in conducting surveys using open-ended questions or interviewing people to obtain the information required?
I can ask a lot more questions. However, these wil do for the time being.

Dear Arjun
I agree with the comments of Mr. Simhan.
He has emphasized on the Technical aspects of the work; and I wish to remind you about the business and revenue-model aspects.
Although I appreciate your enthusiasm, I must say that there are many companies including some renowned brand names that are in the business of employee surveys.
Have you surveyed the industry and made any competitor analysis ??
Why would a company spend money on such an important ,matter and outsource the work to a new entrant and a fresher ??
You must have strong overwhelming reasons to bag an assignment.
This is not to discourage you, but to make you look at all the possible angles and equip yourself with the essentials instead of just going about with misplaced enthusiasm. I would rather suggest that you make a beginning by working with or in such a company.
Warm regards.

Hi Arjun,
Look at employee engagement surveys than mere satisfaction. That the talk of the town these days in corporate world, recent figures says that indian employees are least engaged and least engaged employees dent company business and profitability....
Let me know if you need more discussion....
