Greetings to everyone!!
One of our employer has transferred to our branch from some other branch. Now the problem is that in that brach his salary was 29000 k per month. when i asked to my director about his salary he said 25000 k for this month and last month as well as he has been transferred to ur branch in end of august month. Now this employee is asking to me why you have transferred less salary to me. I checked his last salary payslip also he was getting 29000K. I told him that i was instructed by our Director.
Now that employee is saying how can you do this to me please talk to boss and clear this issue. But i have already talked with my boss about this matter and he told me to for that salary. Moreover he also told me to tell that employee not to worry concentrate on your work and if is not listening ask him to leave. please suggest what can be the solution as i have already discuss this matter 3 - 4 times with my Director.

Dear Supriya,
It is essential to know on what grounds have they reduced the pay scale for the person.
You can ask the concerned authority regarding the dilemma.
It is not about telling the employee it take it or leave it. It is about the right to know where he lacked.
Please verify from his previous branch on his increment and last drawn salary, put the things on paper and ask his supervisor there to acknowledge the letter before they send it to you.
As the person's supervisor in previous branch about his performance and their comments on the said person.
Make an attribution and take a stand.
If you think the company is wrong in deducting the salary, you will have to as an HR take your stand and convey the same to the management in a subtle way by also throwing the light on the consequences that they may have to face in future for this.
