Gentlemen,
I would be very much obliged to receive your valued opinion on the following query:
A Security Guard when registered under EPF is drawing a salary (Basic+DA) of more than Rs.6500/- for 8 hours duty and he works 30 days a month. If his salary (basic+da) falls below Rs. 6500/- due to absence or leave, is it enough to pay PF contribution for the salary he receives after leave deduction or is he liable to pay for Rs.6500/- which is the limit prescribed under the EPF Act.
If any rulings/notification/order are available supporting either of the views, kindly provide that also.
Looking forward to your comments and thanking you in advance.

Thank you Mr Gupta.
However I should apologize to you and other gentlemen for making a mistake in my presentation of the query.
Please permit me to re-phrase my opening line as \"An exempted Security Guard (joining salary more than Rs.6500/-),if his salary falls below Rs.6500/- after leave deduction ,is he liable to pay pf contribution “
