Dear Varghese Mathew ,
I have gone through the EPF pension scheme and found that , permanent disability pension is eligible for the member. thanks for your update.
but practically this type of benefits are not using by the eligible members due to lack of awareness.

It is true ,Mr Reddy. It here the HR has to be proactive .If an employee is in distress due to reasons such as death/disability ,HR has to come to the help of the employee to tell him/or his relatives on the benefit they are eligible as per law without waiting for them to request for help. The employees are not expected to know of all laws.

Dear Mr.Vinoth,
Refer to your query to the above subject, pl go through the follwing contents to receive Pension from EPFO.
1. you can down load Form 10 D from epfo web site, fill all colums along with relavant documents submitted to the PF office concerned.
2. 10 yrs service is not necessary in the case of Death of employee or Permanent Disability.
3. pension is calculated on the basis of pensionable salary i.e.average salary of last 12 months working * pensionable service divided by 70 points.
4. you will receive minimum pension of Rs.500/- per month.
A proposal has been made already to enhance Minimum Pension from Rs.500/- to Rs.1,000/- per month.
This is for your kind information. If you need any clarification in this regard, pl feel free to contact 7702411169 for assistance.
Thanks & Regards,

Your right Mr.Vinod Kumar is liable to pension for his whole life under the para 15
of EPF ACT for that he didn,t need to complete his 10 years of service but
he should contributed at least one month contribution to his PF A/C
as well as he suffer 100% disablement
Further to above he must ask about EDLI benefit I didn't read anything
about subject in EDLI
