Dear Jasmin,
Thanks for your suggestion, but payroll is under Accounts Department. There is not any senior who is telling me HR functions. I am handling all the things (since feb 2012) with my own guidance and reporting directly to Director.
What should I do???????????

The scope of Payroll is very vast. By using Payroll, you can get a good professional expouser because the activity touches to many statutory obligations of an Organisation which will be beneficial for you.
So try to continue till you are not getting a very good Opportunity

If I have rightly understood Kanchan's question, that she being HR professional, not involved in Payroll process, since it is handled by Acccounts dept., she feels she is deprived of handling important job

Dear Kanchan,
Being an HR professional, donít be pessimistic dear. I can understand your situation in which you are applying your mind only. And thatís y you are not able to learn any new things.
Ok not an issue. What I suggest you to continue with your job with what work you are doing and once you approach your director and explain your actual work profiles with soft & sophisticated manner. You also ask him/her (Director) to involve yr KNOWLEDGE in other functions of HR if possible.
I think you will have your solution after this.

The Scope of work of a HR Professional is very broad. And the function of a HR in Operational field is very very high. Activities of a HR in some Career hunt Organisation is based on limitation like recruitment process or training and development or personality development and communication but when a HR comes to a Operational field he / has to go through every activities,
