Since I am working in Small Scale It company and want speech to be given on employees birthday celebration

Dear Dharmesh,
I have small query here. How the birthdays are celebrated? Do you celebrate them in monthly town hall meetings? Birthday is a recurring event. Every month you will have fresh birthday list. So every month would you like to same speech or it should be different? If it is different, then you need 12 drafts, one for every month. In case if the birthday is celebrated as and when it comes then you need those many different drafts. If you keep the same speech then will the monotony of the speech mar the joyousness and turn the event into rigmarole?
By the way as per my limited knowledge birthdays are never "celebrated" with some speech as such. Possibly politicians could be exception but I do not have experience of how do they celebrate their birthday. Therefore, I recommend you reviewing your requirement. Cut the cake, distribute it with some savoury items and that is all.

Hello Dharmesh,
Say 'A Warm Welcome to All' and few general sentences. If you want to add, mention the company's achievements for the month highlighting the team success. Instead of a typical speech, suggest you think of including some team building game /one minute game as ice breaking. This will help creating a happy and jolly mood. Call upon the concerned employees and have cake cutting in a group.

Birth day celebrations are the motivation of employees, you can celebrate birthdays to display their names on notice board with greetings, and cake cutting .
For birth day celebrations no need any speech, on that birth day boy/girl need our blessings and our wishes. At that movement you can talk about his/her achievements, good things and others which become them happy. call his/her HOD and ask him to tell about his/her.

Very good initiative for celebrating birthdays of your employees. Good HR Initiative.

Believe me. In this world, nothing motivates a human being more than wishing a person on his birthday and that too by other than his family members.

In our Company, we do celebrate birthdays of all employees falling in that particular month on the last working day of the month in a meeting hall. We have 600 employees on rolls.

All HODs will be invited to the meeting. It will start the meeting with wishing all of the employees celebrating birthday in that month and give them one sweet packet to be taken to their home. Tea & snacks will be served during the meeting.

Will utilise the forum to explain the latest happenings of the company and role to be played by each employee. Will also highlight the shortcomings by employees - Less productivity in a particular area if it is noticed, absenteeism if noticed in any work area, customers' perception of the company, quality issues if any etc.

Then will ask one or two employees to come to dias and explain their memories of office life.
