One factor that you need to consider in choosing an industry is the role and job content first that affords more learning quotient and allows HR to paly a critical role in organisatinal development. In manufacturing industry with unionised work environment and blue collar workers and lot of health, safety and welfare compliances to be met, it is no doubt all sweat and toil. However it is the roles but not the names that shall matter in selecting your industry.All the best.
