I don't know about salary Structure and I want to know What is Salary Structure and Which is the best salary Structure for an organisation.
If, Possible then please also let me know that Why we should give best salary Structure to employee.
Please help me.. Because I have to implement Best HR Policy as soon as possible in my current organisation.

Greetings !!! I can suggest general options. Keep salary structure Department wise. Study three organization salary structure before devising out. Define some standard parameter like stability, Job demands, basic requirements, personal care, refreshment etc you may know better and align these standard parameter with job salary structure. Keep matrix for future and how does it do . That way you are taking care of most of the things.

Ref. to Salary Structure, It totally depends upon Organization policy. Standardize way to make this to include these components BASIC, HRA, MA, TA, GROSS, ESI, PF, NET. And if requires take advise from your Reporting person or Top management before implementing anything.

There are four Important things which should be clear in Salarystructure.
Gross Salary
Basic Salary
Cost To Company (there is no Legal defination of CTC)
Net or Take home salary
Gross salary-Total including all Allw
Basic salary-Actual Basic+VDA
Cost To Company-Gross Salary+Other expenses or liabilities bearing by the Organisation
Net salary-Gross salary-Employer,'s diduction
Basic Salary (actual basic+VDA) is initia and remaining allowence depends on the Organisation, on which head they prefer to add, like:
HRA
Medl allw
Prof allw
Adnl allw
Spl allw

You should finalise the Organisation Structure This means basic gradings as Senior Management (VP / SGM, GM), Middle Management (DGM, Sr Manager, Manager, Dy Mgr) and Junior Management (Asst Mgr, Sr Offr/Exec, Officer/Exec, Jr Officer/Jr Exec).
Once this is done, based on the existing salaries and experience, slot each employee in one of the above cadre (there are 11 cadre mentioned above, from VP till Jr Exec). The Basic (and the DA / HRA based on the Basic) will be the same for all placed on in the same cadre. For example, the Basic will be same for all Asst Managers irrespective of this departments. On the statutory requirements (like EPF / ESI / Gratutity), which is also based on the Basic + DA, will be same.
Special allowances (like Mob Allow, Site Allow etc) will be differ between each Depts and the hardships faced by a employees in each depts.

Dear All,

My self Kumar Krishnan recently Joined this site , I have been processing payroll would like to understand also like to have breakup of CTC , designed for any Employee along with Reimbursement (Non Taxable Components ), i am coming from Advertisement Company what could be percentage of towards salary components - Fixed , Variable (CTC ) and others like Gratuity, General Insurance , Company PF. packages from 4.00 Lac PA to 1 Crore + PA if any one has same in excel with formula based please share , I should be able to inc-operate only CTC Figure rest automatically breakup should be plotted.

Please help on the same... or any suggestion

Fixed Components only 4 components (Basic , HRA, Conveyance , Special allowance , Ex-gratia-others)

Below reimbursement which category employee can available or can we define as per CTC for such employees) for claiming expenses.

Variable (CTC Reimbursement ) - Sodexho, Medical Reimbursement , LTA , Attire Allowance, Books And periodical, Petrol/Car Vechile Maintenance , Mobile , Telephone expenses)



Last is : Gratuity , Company Pf and insurance expenses part of CTC.
