Dear Seniors,
My name is Jyoti. I'm from Jamshedpur and completed an MBA in HR and Finance in 2008. However, I have not been able to find a job in the HR domain yet. I would like to ask all seniors for advice on how I could restart my career in HR. There have been several reasons for this gap in my career, including my personal interest in a government job. In August 2010, I worked as a lecturer until March 2011. Due to a family mishap and my developing back problem, I faced personal challenges in 2011. I am currently well and eager to reenter the HR field.
During 2012, when I felt better, I pursued a three-month SAP training in HR and even went to Delhi for a job search. However, in October 2012, I encountered similar issues and returned home. Now that I am in good health, I am keen to restart my career in HR. I am looking for guidance on any courses or specific areas to start with, as I wish to avoid returning to the teaching field.

There is nothing wrong with your break from HR jobs. Moreover, you have spent the intervening time well despite constraints beyond your control. All you have to do is to keep looking out for openings that are suitable for you and keep on applying for jobs diligently. You may also have to consider the fact that you may have to start out again as a 'fresher'. There is no need to feel disheartened or discouraged. There is nothing wrong with you, and the fact is that in the HR job market, the supply far exceeds the demand.
Warm regards.
