Employer asking for clearance certificate in advance to settle dues and issuing reliving letter
Dear professionals more than a month ago i resigned from company and at after a week i asked for my reliving letter and 12 days salary and conveyance amount of 3 months. company has accepted my resignation but not issuing the reliving letter from more than month and my current company doubting that i am still working with previous employer. my previous employer is delaying in reliving letter and settlement of dues just because that they need a consent or clearance certificate from me in advance and after serving clearance certificate employer will issue the reliving letter and settle all the dues. my question here is shall i issue a clearance certificate in advance or not. what action shall i take? my current employer has stopped my salary of the current month as i haven t submit the reliving letter. please help i am a bit hopeless. thanks in advance.

Dear sir / madam this is anil gadher from jamnagargujarat. i am facing problem from my previous employer. i had joined indiabulls securities ltd on 19 feb. 2007. after closure of so many branches of securities in all over india i was transferred in indiabulls housing fiannce ltd with same designation and salary package. i have left this job on 1st oct.2007 without notice. i have already sent employee clearance form also. i am trying for reliving letter since one month but nobody responding particularly. i am going to join one of the largest private bank on 10th jan. they require reliving letter. i have represented my problem to new employerbank but they told your reliving letter is mandatory. i need your advice can i go for legal action or is there is law which can help me in this matter. i can pay any penalty but i need reliving letter. please help me gadher anil mob. 9879522189

Dear all i was offered in a mnc software company as manager. but the offer letter in annexure 1 says i need to submit the original copy of the reliving letter from my most recent employer. they also say that they would return it back after three months. would request you to share your views is it a mandatory policy for any employer to deposit the new employees most recent reliving letter ? please advise regards shiv

What are the consequences if we hire a person who did not got the reliving letter from previous employer. we do not know he is in leave from his previous employer for the period he is working with us.

Hi seniors need ur asst. in forllowing case: one of the employee left the co. on 2aug. and he send the resignation email on 5th of aug. his all dues are cleared. but his reliving letter was not issue & he is asking for reliving letter. how i can issue him reliving letter where he left the co. without intimating to hr and seniors and joined the new co. and after that he had send the resignation email. pls. suggest the on the same and also send me the formate of reliving letter in such a way that his carrer will not affect badly.:idea:
