Dear All,

I would like to have clarity regarding the proper calculation of the Attrition formula. The standard formula that I am aware of is:

Attrition% = No. of exits * 100 / (Opening Manpower Balance + Closing Manpower Balance) / 2

Please suggest if there is any other formula. I am basically in a Financial Broking firm where attrition at the entry-level is very high.

Dear Sanjay,

Attrition% = Number of persons who left + Number of persons who resigned, divided by (Opening Manpower Balance + additional manpower (New recruit employees)), multiplied by 100.

For example, (2+2) / (58+6) * 100 = Attrition% 6.35%.
