If TDS is deducted than go to incometax site. Ask him to login and check his 26AS. See his any income tax returns ir he has claimed PT. Check bank statement if any salary is credited.

Hi,
You can get the payslip authenticated from the authorized person from the company, via email, fax or letter.
You can probe on Authorized Signature person's name & designation & can also probe with the person if he is still working there, as only the authorized person can say about the ingenuity of the payslip.
