Dear Members,

Thank you for appreciating my last share on PPT on Developing Effective Communication Skills.

Here is an addition to that Series on Communication as promised.

PPT on Body Language Beginner's Guide

"You cannot not communicate".

And that's so true. We are always communicating to others through our body

even when we stay silent. Put the other way round - it means others are always

forming up an initial opinion about us subconsciously looking at how we use our

body in a given setting.

It's like, unknown to us our bodies communicate and speak a language of it's

own which greatly impacts and influences our daily communication relationships

be it with loved ones at home, friends, or colleagues in a professional setting.

It's everywhere. Even a mere eye contact transmits messages!

They say good communication is about knowing how to use the dynamic aspects

of your body language within your communication message.

After all, spoken words only form 7% of your communication. If that's true then

can we not enhance our understanding of how our body language - our gestures,

movements, signs, tone etc.. are perceived by others and then really learn

to take charge of it?

This PPT will act as guide everytime you will open it with the above in mind.

It will help you re-establish the basic facts and ideas and change the way you

look at your external body communication again.

So learn it yourself and train others too.

Remember use it not to judge others or yourself but to enhance the quality of

your communication with others and bring openness to it for better results.

Dear Andy,
This is nice. I had seen this powerpoint earlier on the blog and thought of posting it too.
A detailed slide work they have put up.
So are you a subscriber there ?
Keep posting mate.
Best Wishes

Hi Erstine,
Thank you for your comments.
I enjoy researching new material and sharing it with all, wherever that comes from and giving credit to the source.
I am a subscriber there now and it was a private forum earlier which they disbanded and decided to make these
amazing slides free for all. Being an original subscriber there I do get access to most of the material
much earlier than it appears on the blog. However once they publish it on the blog we can share them publicly.
If you liked these I'll be sharing more in the coming weeks and months which are part of the Communication series
they run. They also have plenty of stuff on Leadership have you seen that?

Andy,
Thanks for your reply.
Well if you do have similar quality ppt, feel free to share it here on the forum.
It's great to have a reliable source for quality material :-)
Why don't you share the communication series with us and maybe leadership too.
Keep the good stuff comin'!
Thanks again
Best wishes

Erstine,
Thank you for the credits on being a reliable source :-)
I am only happy that I can share these here in a forum that is globally visited.
It stands to benefit all in some way.
And sure once I have something that may benefit all, I will post them here.
That is the idea! Meanwhile I plan to link these ppt's together in over the various posts
so that others can learn from it progressively.
As far as Leadership is concerned I think I will post them in T&D section
as it's not relevant here. Also they are too large in size exceeding 10mb.
Have to see a workaround. Maybe I will just post the links in that case
or split them up in parts.
Additionally, there are the other topics which are sufficiently detailed in nature
and may well serve our members here who have an extensive work experience.
Let's see, lots to do for now will keep posting as time permits.
Thank you for all the interest and encouragement and the appreciates - from all.
Cheers
