Need help regarding pf basics
Hi everyone i am a newbie to this site as a member. however i do follow threads on needs basis. today is the day when i really need help from fellow members.following are the questions i have related to pf i am an employer with more than 20 employees working for my establishment: q1. do we have to pay pf to contract based employees as well? q2. can full time employees drawing a basic salary more than 6500 be exempted from paying pf? q3. if answer to question2 is yes then do i have to add the name of any new employee joining the organization in ecr and show pf contribution as zero? or there is no need to show? simply show the existing employees drawing pf amount ? the reason why i am asking these questions are because i would like to learn the tricks of the trade from beginning itself and apply on my own. thanks atul

Hi all even i am doing project on labour absenteeism and i dint find any good questions or may be im not understanding how to select but i really need some good questions to be asked to labors who does not even know to read and write. this is a transport industry where the labours are drivers garagge workers and they remain absent quite often and i need to prepare a questionnaire to these workers in a simple manner to find out the reasons for their absenteeism i the company and questionnaire should be nearly about atleast 20 questions. so plz help me in what way i can arrange questions and how should be the start of it.

Dear team there are so many questions asked related to policies timing startup and many more in the real estate industry.. but no answers or no input from the users or professionals. it is just a question asked but no relevant answer.. for example i am looking out for policies and many more things in the real estate industry as i working in hr and it is a startup company and seeking help but no answers or no attachment by the professionals.
Interview questions - require clarification
Dear hrites on 23/12/10 i have attended an interview purpose is to check my level of proficiency. in that interview two questions were asked to me which i could not answer as expected by the interviewer. have you ever faced the union problem. i replied that we do not have any union in our premises as our industry is a construction industry. because it is the fact explain the situations you have faced any ir / labour problems. i replied that i have my own people in almost all the places within our premises including labour camp. in case of any problem immediately they will bring the same to my notice and i will take the required corrective action as deemed fit. hence the i never had any ir / labour problems in my site. but with this factual reply the interviewer was not satisfied. what would have been told for those questions. please throw some light on these questions s. bhaskar 9099024667
How to determine the commitment of an employee - controlling attrition rate
Hi in the it industry attrition is some thing that challenges any efficient hr. can this be checked at the time of selection of the right candidate? if yes is it checked at the time of interview? what type of questions would help the hr identify that aspect? do we ask him about his commitment or ask questions relating to his attitude or what other kind of questions? plz help me out regards soumya shankar
