Our company issued Salary Revision letter for Financial year 2012-13 in April 2013. As per that letter, the fixed salary was reduced but the variable salary was increased. As per the new structure in which fixed salary was reduced, they recovered our salary in April, May and June 2013. Is this legal? Can a Company recover salary retrospectively if it has not issued the revision letter on time?
