Hi All,

Tell me if its true?...............

A person visited the government matchmaker for marriage, SDU, and requested "I am looking for a spouse. Please help me to find a suitable one." The SDU officer said, "Your requirements, please." "Oh, good looking, polite, humorous , sporty, knowledgeable, good in singing and dancing. Willing to accompany me the whole day at home during my

leisure hour, if I don't go out. Telling me interesting stories when I need companion for conversation and be silent when I want to rest." The officer listened carefully and replied, "I understand you need television."

There is a saying that a perfect match can only be found between a blind wife and a deaf husband ,because the blind wife cannot see the faults of the husband and the deaf husband cannot hear the nagging of the wife. Many couples are blind and deaf at the courting stage and dream of perpetual perfect relationship. Unfortunately, when the excitement of love wears off, they wake up and discover that marriage is not a bed of roses. The nightmare begins.

The above is a general statement. Do the parents or elders who materialise a marriage also do not know this? Is marriage an outdated institution and should be done awy with?

Dear Vani,
I agree to what you say that marriage is not a bed of roses in this fast moving, changing scenario.
previously people used to stay in joint families which as on date has become micro. Woman has become much more independent than what they were before. They are no more considered as the weaker sex. As per me marriage can last if there is faith in the relation ship which is near absent in this kalyug. More over I also belive, marriage, to a large extent is a compromise, a 60/40 relationship.
Do we now really believe in the institution called institution of marriage when people are talking of live-in partners.

Namaskar friends. Are Khoosboo and Sania Mirza talking about perfect relationships? Is it really necessary? Are they unknowingly conspiring in favour of female foeticide? regards
