Hi Seniors,
am an HR in a private steel and construction company.
I want to know if there are any special policies for disabilities ?
One employee with disability with leg, is going to join our company. But he is able to climb stairs and able to walk also properly.
So just wanted to know if anyone has any idea about if any special privileges should be given to them or not ?
If yes then please let me know the rules and regulations mandated by Indian govt.

Dear Friend,
1:- If his disability is above 40%, he will get exemption in professional Tax.
2:- Separate/comfortable drinking water facility & rest room should be provided.
3:- Onsite emergency plan should have rescue plan for disable person. (In case hearing disability, visible sign board instead of siren/hooter to communicate any emergency).
4:- Should be treated equally.
