Hi Amit, One of the PF Regional Office of Andhra Pradesh return with Withdrawl application stating that the employee is not rendered 6 months service. I think in this case the member will not get share of PF. Regards, Rapolu HS

Dear Mr. Amith, No.... They can get only 12% that is only their (Employee) share of contribution. An Individual can get both employee and employer share of PF contribution only after 5 years of service. Regards Vasanth

In order to get full 24% of PF amount, an employee should work for minimum 6 months. If not he will not get the pension fund i.e 8.33% of PF contribution. Balance he will get. regards, Manjula

Hi, Thanks a lot Harpreet and Manjula. So it is clear for me that he/she will get 15.67% overall if the total service is less than 6 months. Regards Amith R.

Hi All PF is an amount earned by the employee and the company is obliged to pay it to the employee irrespective of the duration of employment. Even if the employee stays with a company for 1 month and his payroll is processed for that month then the PF amount has to be credited to his PF account both from his side as well as the employers side. Gratuity is the amount that will be paid to an employee if he stays with a company for 5 yrs and more. Regards Reshma

Dear Vasanth, According to the P F Act minimum six month service is required for getting PF. Sathish Bangalore.

For PF withdrawal, Two months full contribution will get you back only the employee's contribution i.e 12%. If there is six months full contribution (do not include 15 days or 10 days salary) then he will get back 24% of the contribution.
