Misleading superannuation fund in salary component
I am working in a small i.t company at bangalore india. we have a misleading superannuation fund in our salary component which was started effective from 1st april 2007 but it was not at all mentioned in any of the hr policy/employee hand book or in any of the notice/circular. whenever it was asked by any employee to the hr it was explained verbally not by email or any official communication that it is not maintained by the lic but it is company managed and the eligibility for this found is 5 years. as far as we know the company has not made any trust and is not buying any secure bonds or any such thing for employee benefit. on last week of completion of 5 years the coo of the company has informed the hr to publish a policy in the hr portal and mention the superannuation policy which will have the eligibility criteria as retirement from the company at the age of 58 years. how far it is fair? can the company do like this?
Does esi have any limitation for the cost of treatment?
Dear team as what i know that if someone is covered by esi then they can go to the private hospitalscovered by esi & there are no limitations on the cost of treatment but now i got a doubt when i visited esi hospital for the treatment of one my friend then the esi doctor referred him in private hospital & said the esi hospital will check his eligibility of amount that how much expenses would be covered by esi & after going through his esi account they will tell me his balance for the same. i just wanted to clarify that is there anything like this that there would be a certain amount of expenses would be covered by esi or os there any kind of balance based on the esi deduction i.e if an employees joined the company & from the 2nd month for treatment then what would be his eligibility?

Hi please someone help me to understand this esi procedure. my query is what is the eligibility of an employee to get esi benefit? if employee is in probation period or contract based is he/she entitled to get that benefit?
Denial of superannuation benefit
I left l&t after working for 26 years. i was the member of company s superannuation scheme. after my resignation the company did not give me the superannuation benefit without assigning any reasons. the fact is some of my colleagues who left after resigning and undergoing lesser number of yesr in service and were also younger then me were given the superannuation benefit. the company says that it is the discretion of the management. do i have any legal remedy to get this amount. the amount in question is about 9 lakhs.
