One of my friend is working as an HR recruiter in a small recruitment firm for past 1 year. He got a good opportunity in a IT company and he has been asked to join within 10days or they will offer to some other candidate .In his present company he has a 30 days of notice period and they are asking him serve N.P. otherwise they will not provide relieving and experience letter. The company from where he got an offer is ready to take him without relieving and experience letter. He having an offer letter and salary proof(copy of all cheques)from the present company. Please suggest whether he will have any problem in future if he joined the company without getting relieving and experience letter from Present company.

Hi Syrecruiter,
The state of issue is for your friend or you? According to your brief, I believe that you have mentioned about your current employer to the new employer. In that case, in-spite of the new employer stating that they don't want the relieving or experience letter, those are very important for you in terms of your career aspect. If the offer which you had received and the prospective career width/length is good, you can leave the present company. However remember that the world is round and this type of exit is not appreciated.
Again there are few cases wherein the recruitment team will ask the candidate to join without proper documents, because of their TAT, and then when those documents are needed for Employment Verification/Du-diligence, the employee gets into discrepancies. Please do check and analyze situation accordingly.
