Dear Seniors,
I am working with a Travel Company in Karnataka. As per our company policy, if an employee takes leave during his/her Probation Period it will be LWP (Leave without pay).
I request for a guidance on while calculating the deductions, which part of salary is taken into consideration (Net or Gross Or CTC) ???

Thank you Nileish Sir,
My consultant has suggested that the deductions should be on (Basic+DA). the justification given by him is that when an employee takes LWP, he/she doesn't not get PF or any other Statutory contribution. I am little confused as in my previous organization (Goa) we use to do the leave deductions on Gross (except HRA, as the HRA deductions were only if the leave is for more than 10 days).
I have recently shifted to Karnataka and i am little confused. I am not certain if same can be applicable in Karnataka also or not & if this is a state decides on this part or company can frame such policy on its own.
Request for a guidance.
