Hello,

I am working in an IT firm for past 2 years outside India. I have total 7 years of experience. Out of which 2 years is fake experience.

I worked for a BPO for 2 years before my current job. During my BG in BPO i came out clean because i didnt bluffed then.

But when i applied for my corrent job i faked those 2 years. I showed i was working for some IT firm instead of BPO. I've provided fake offer letter, pay slip. Luckily the BG done by my current company found my profile clean.

Now i am planning to come get a job in india. My concern is will the MNC do BG for my

current company or a thorough check starting with the 1st to my current company? If that is the case then they might find out that those 2 year i put is of a fake company that does not exists, in that case i am doomed :( i am very worried and being paranoid. shall i continue working in my present company and dont think of switching job? or shall i try risking it all? probably the BPO i worked for has submitted some info about me to third party for their database so i already have a profile which i am unaware off. is it possible?

Please guide.

We understand we are here not to judge people but weigh actions so that we can find solutions. Hence, we realise , that in your quest for a better job, the documents were fudged.
There is no hiding now. You have realised, what exactly is in stake. There can be no clean up actions, other than you acknowledging that you never worked in the IT Sector but BPO for those two years.
During background verification, information is validated, with what you offer and what have been recorded.
Please prepare a clean list of all the experience with the documents supporting them and initiate a back ground verification for yourself with Skill Registry at NASSCOM. That will provide you a clear picture of where you stand. Attach the report while applying for a new job and you will never have any reason to worry about the back ground verification, ever again.
You have realised and wish to correct, so congrats. Wish you a great future ahead

Most applications have FAKE Experience, which is somehow covered by the consultant during the interview. For which reason they get stumped during BG checks. Last time when you faked your resume, YOU were LUCKY... Not all times you are!

Prominent Clients have even less time to intensively work on candidates profile, therefore, they hire THIRD PARTY Companies to check their applicants' employment history and report the findings. You are trapped.

- Can you tell me What has made you to fake from a BPO to an IT company. Do you think that would save you in any way?

- How long have you been associated with your current company?

There is nothing to get perplexed, if you are trying to attempt for jobs in other sectors -- I would suggest you to put your accurate experience, all is that you should know how to manage on questions regarding you shift in career. If you've worked for long enough with your current Organization, I suggest you to wait for some time and then try looking out various options. A li'l times is because it works your resume, mindset and then you would be ready to GET SET GO.

A humble suggestion - Be self-effacing & bona fide, it would do good to you. Plan to counterfeit ideas, make you jumbled- up blamelessly. Infact, your last point itself made it clear that

Large BPO's & MNC's have a system which is intergrated to NASSCOM. It has data for each & every bit of informationprovided by you to the company. If your future employer is aware of it, they might have chances to entangle there. Hence, please check with the other colleagues at the BPO for any information pertained to this process. All the Best!

It is difficult to switch from BPO to IT so i had to fake it. I was working for a non tech dept in that BPO.
Its been 2 years and few months.
why do they check all the companies mentioned in resume :( a detailed check with previous company wont do? in my current company i have good conduct, worked on projects, initiated new projects. i am a skilled guy wont that suffice?
One question. How do verification works for candidates who were working outside india and are appointed for new job in india? I am based outside india.

Before proceeding with your self verification through NASSCOM, ensure that the details provided are true. All experiences are genuine. The verification conducted by them will be basis the information provided. The clear report can then be forwarded to the prospective employer.
Reputed BGC firms are accredited with NASSCOM.

Please take this as an opportunity to clear up your CV , for once and for ever.
When you fill the registration form, please provide only the real and true information. The Background Verification team will validate the data and the documents you provide.
The report will free you from lying , ever in your career. You will prosper far better than you have , so far.
You will never have to worry about the details that were false.
That report will increase your chances of being hired by the top notch firms as you are saving on their back ground verification costs and time to decide.
Please remove your CV with the incorrect details, from all the job sites. If possible close that id and start a new one with the correct CV and the Nasscom report
Wish you all the best !

One last query. Please do answer as you might save me :)
If i put valid experience (my BPO exp) instead of fake in my CURRENT CV and push it forward to the hiring company, what are the chances that they might find that in my previous company i had some other company for those 2 years of bpo exp. Will they cross check my updated cv to my old cv?
Thanks.
