hi
i have been selected through campus placements in IBM GTS TSS services as System Support Representative , i am B.E. electronics from Mumbai university, i wanted to know that is this good enough to join? i mean , how is the career growth in this field, what is the career ladder ? can i switch the department in IBM after some time?

Thus far I understand, a System Support Rep is called a System Administrator. IBM GTS is the largest provider of IT outsourcing services and the integration on the Client side is high. You need to understand the role with its daily requirement, challenges and a generic outlook to the growth opportunities.
Identify, what would you learn from there. If a 3 years plan , what are the near term areas you want to work with?
If not anything else, do you have the work-life balance in place? Suppose, if none of your plan works, how would you still keep yourself motivated?
