I have been asked to undertake the following project for an international executive search firm where most of the employees are young researchers / recruiters / BD guys in the age group of around 25 yrs :
1. Employee motivation
2. Employee retention
3. Dealing with absconding cases when staff leaves abruptly without serving notice period
4. Employee grievances
5. Performance appraisal
6. Attrition management
7. Employee Referrals
Kindly help me on how do I go about it.

Dear friend,

When you ask some question courtesy demands disclosure of your name. By the way, you are told to do "project" on the total seven topics. Are you student or working professional? If latter, then what is your designation?

All the topics that you have mentioned are to be handled by managerial level person. Each subject requires deep study. Yes each subject is interdependent and there is no watertight arrangement but to handle these things one requires lot of exposure (not experience, please note). These topics certainly cannot be handled by a person who is wet behind the ears.

If you are a student, then better go back to the person who assigned this task and tell that you are inexperienced to handle this task independently. They can hire some external consultant. If handled properly then even a consultant would take about 2-3 months to understand and give a solution.

I am little forthright and you may not like what I have written but then positive thinking does not mean aiming to touch the moon.

Please disclose your identity and mention clearly the purpose of the project(s) assigned to you. If you are an employee/ trainee in the HR department of the company which has assigned these projects, you ought to mention the difficulties being experienced by you & discuss the same first with the authority that has given you this task.
The purpose of your approaching the seniors gets defeated if you don't define your problem. There is enough literature available on the web on each of the topics mentioned by you. Please spend some time to study the same & then approach us with specific issues . Otherwise, you are wasting time of the experts & professionals.
All those who post such queries for help may kindly take this as a wake up call.

As my other learned professionals have pointed out, it is better to be free and frank here. But the way you have presented the problems, even I have my own doubts about the ultimate objective behind such a posting.
The topics are vast and since it involves some international even the cultural practices differ vastly between India and elsewhere.
Alternatively, you can take on contract, people like me, who have vast industry experience to help you in your project.
There is nothing called 'free lunch' in this world. You are asking for the Moon, at the cost of a Toffee !
