Dear all, Greetings for the day!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone let me know about sub code of ESIC as we have ESIC code by registration for our corporate office (MUMBAI) and we are construction company employing a lot of contract workers at many units/ project sites in india, our one project(in Maharashtra state) is recently covered under ESIC now we have to process ESI for all our employees and contract labours but we are confused as we have already ESIC code then is this sufficient for all ESIc process for particular project people or we will have to take separate registration for this site/unit.

If it is cleared that we have to take separate registration by applying to state ESIC authority then what will be base for registration as getting sub code

for having previous one or be separate.

Here it may be noted that our corporate location is MUMBAI (M.H) and also project site location in Maharashtra state Dist Nagpur.

Kindly suggest and guide me.

Dear Madan,
Greetings!
You need to take sub code for other states. if your company is working only in Maharastra then no need to take sub code for different project sides within the state all around but if you are starting project in Uttar Pradesh, then you need to take sub code from Uttar Pradesh through branch or state office and they will provide you the Insurance no. also.you can deposit the amount centrally by internet but the Cards would be provided by local office only and would be valid all over india.

Dear Madan,
1) Your company is in construction industries, ESIC Act is not applicable to construction Industries,
2) If you wants to start the branch office at Nagpur or in other district, you need to take ESIC sub-code district wise for your office staff and non-construction workers,
3) You should insured all construction workers under Workmen Compensation Policy and /or CAR Policy,
If you have any query in this regards pls write or 86555 76111
