if re-examine if witness is possible? what is time limit &under witch section of labour low this information will be used just for knolage
Your quiery is incomplete? what context you want to re-examine the witness. Whether you are conducting domestic enquiry? In domestic enquiry we not following Evidence Act. In domestic enquiry it is allowed to re-examine the wintess once his cross examination is done by the accused. In order to cover up the contradictory statement made in the cross examination Management Representive can do re-examine. Please note that once your re-examination is over you have to allow for re-cross-examination of the witness.

Dear Pramod: Reexamination of a witness is permissible. In DE, the process of recording evidence of a witness essentially involves three steps, firstly the examination in chief, where the witness is examined by the party producing him, next the cross -examination which is done by the opposite party and finally reexamination by the original party which had produced the witness to the extent of any new point which had come up in the cross-examination and it could only be clarificatory. However if any new point arises, as pointed out by Mr. Sudhakar then cross-examination has to be allowed if so desired by the opposite party.
