What is the best way to find market rates for my position at my job? It will help me negotiate with my manager in my appraisal process - so that I can ask for a higher salary hike.
Did you try Payscale ? Alternatively you can consider connect ing with the Hiring Managers from the sector you are aspiring to work for . However, the compensation offered to you would directly depend on the percentage increase to your current salary band.

Another way is also to reach out to job consultants to ask them the going rate for the job position you are in as per your career skill sets, years of work-experience, location and domain.
This approach is more useful while looking for a new job. For appraisal, you will always be confined to your salary band (in service companies) or your existing salary (in product companies), since managers will rarely give one employee a significantly larger salary hike for the rest of your peer-group.
