"........frankly, I am not sure how many you can put into practice in Kenya--quite often stonewalling is practiced by experienced managers." Very true........
Every individual has his own ways, all you need is just the boost up to make you think on a clear path....... people always try to brutally dominate until you stand up firm, anyways.................

Hi,
Thanks for the contributions.
Yes, I have given up the thought of resigning unless I come across another job with better prospects. As a matter of fact the 4th point on putting everything in written is quite appealing and I have already implemented the same and the results are quite comforting. You see using this approach saves one time on personal confrontations face to face and a record is always kept on all the proceedings so the managers are very careful not to be found in a confrontational position.
Thank you so much as I continue implementing the same.
Regards
Joyce

Reg the trick to handle the 4th Point, you can bet your LAST penny Joyce.
And, as other officials/managers begin to realise that this has become a habit for you [to send notes/circulars/MoMs of whatever was discussed], you will also notice that they WILL BEGIN TO TAKE CARE of what they speak or how they respond in the meetings......lest it becomes a part of the Minutes of Meetings :-)
That's sure to bring your headaches down to manageable levels sooner than later.
Also, see if you can try-out any of the other suggestions BSSV suggested--at least some should be possible.
And, I guess you ought to thank CiteHR for veering you away from the negative thought of resigning FOR THE WRONG REASONS.
All the Best.

Hallo,
You bet I am sincerely thanking CiteHR for assisting me in handling the problem and especially you and the rest of the team who have contributed immensely towards the same. I say Kudos to you all and wish you all the best as we continue interacting on CiteHR.
As for the implementation of the proposals, I will still continue assessing at whatever appropriate time implementation will take place in order to have a vibrant working relationship and organization.
Thanks a lot.
Joyce
