dear lovanya,
PF will be calculated on your Basic. I.e., 6000 X 12%= 720/- Rs per month.
And from Employer Side It wiil be 6000 X 8.33% and 6000 X 3.67% = 12%.
Put of whichif you continue the service for more than 6 months you are liable to get 6000 X 24% X no of months you worked + Interest, or if you left the job before 6 months then you will get . 6000 X 12% + 3.67%( here no interest will be paid).
this is how the calculation of PF will be done.
dear Lovanya,
PF will be calculated on Basic+D.A. I.e., 6000 X 12%= 720/- Rs per month (but your organization is not providing D.A. so It will be calculated on Rs. 6000.00)
so your contribution for the period of March-12 to June-12 is Rs. 3600.00 (if you had joined the organization dated on 01-March-2012 and leave the organization 30-June-2012 without any loss of pay)
And from Employer Side It will be 6000 X 8.33% and 6000 X 3.67% = 12%.
If you continue the service for more than 6 months you are liable to get 6000 X 24% X no of months you worked + Interest, or if you left the job before 6 months then you will get . 6000 X 12% + 3.67%( here no interest will be paid).
With Regards
Dear Lovanya2012, PF Will be deducted on Basic + HRA= Rs.9000. So, it will come 9000*12%=1080x2=2160 for 27 months will be 58320 and Interest as per Govt. Rules. Jafarahemad
Dear Lovanya,
Generally PF will be calculates as Employee Share = Basic*12%
The same amount will be contributed from employer side too.
But employer contribution is again divided as 8:33% Pension Fund + 3.66 employer Contribution = Total 12%
Generally if you check your a/c status online it will display the employee contribution i.e. 12% of Basic + 3.66% of employer contribution where in the 8:33% of employer contribution is not shown. While with drawing the PF amount you will get whole some including that 8.33%
If you want to know your exact PF amount you can calculate the the amount of pf deducted from your salary * no of months * 8% interest per year
ex: From March 2010 to June 2012, Assuming you have 100% attendance and no Loss of pays, Your contribution will be 20160+ your employer contribution will be another 20160 + Interest 2764 (Appr) So your total PF amount will be 43084 rs (Appr)
