Hi Everyone...!
Please help me in taking decision where a Mechanical Engineer should work......?
As Design Engineer or as Project Engineer.......?
Which field is more interesting..?Please reply...
Thanks

Hello Santosh Kumar,
Can you pl give more details about yourself? That would enable the members to give more considered views/suggestions.
Coming to your query, in general, ANY & EVERY role/field is INTERESTING. But the catch being that--what's interesting to me MAY NOT be so for you & what's interesting to both of us, again, MAY NOT be so for another person--it all depends on INDIVIDUAL PRIORITIES & CHOICES.
And, in your response, suggest pl also add YOUR DEFINITION of the word 'Interesting'. Hope you get the point.
Rgds,
TS

Dear Santosh,
This is in addition to what Satish has said. What is your interest that how can others can tell? One should know one's interest.
By the way, in addition to Design or Projects, you can also get into Supply Chain. In the field of SCM, India is still far behind compared with developed countries. Therefore, sky is the limit to grow in this field. Today Head SCM and Head Production both report to MD. But then a day will come when even Head Manufacturing/Production will also start reporting to Head SCM.
Think it over and take decision.
