I'm totally agree with you that Indian companies recruitment process is different from Australia. Your reply is showing that how much you are conscious. It is completely showing the location is Lahore, Pakistan but it is you who is unable to see this. and the second point is,The United States of America appointed skillful, expertise and capable individuals but in recession period so many good hands employees not do the best to save his organization to bankrupt.

Firstly, I apologise for the mistake about the OP's location. It is true, I did miss that.

Secondly, I read many posts here on CiteHR about recruitment. Some of the things I read, leave me shaking my head. India is the up and coming economy, and to meet it's future needs, a fully trained and competent workforce is essential. As I have pointed out, I notice many postings where people have obtained jobs that they have not a clue about doing.

I agree with many posters that CiteHR is a wonderful resource for finding answers to questions. In my view, IT DOES NOT EXIST TO TELL YOU HOW TO DO YOUR JOB, that is the role of your employer. And on that note, wonderful resource as it is - NO-ONE USES IT TO ITS FULL ADVANTAGE - we keep asking the same questions over and over again instead of looking at the answers already posted. Every day the same questions about PF etc. Every day, people asking about HR Manuals. There is a ton of stuff here already. It is a wealth of information just waiting to be used, and to help you.

Thirdly, I would take issue about Kumar Malay's comments about the USA. Some of the weird and wacky things they do in recruitment over there, are no recommendation. And yes, their companies regularly go broke, both through poor recruitment, and management stupidity. I do not hold America in high esteem when it comes to being the experts in anything - other than killing themselves with crazy gun laws!

Lastly, I am not setting myself up as an expert in anything. Many of you may find some of my postings provocative. That's good. If I am able to make you think, to look at the things you do in a different way, to look at how they can be improved etc, then I have succeeded in my mission to help you, and your organisations to become better. In turn we can all help to make India, Pakistan, and all the other countries where our wonderful CiteHR community exists, a better place, and to help our people lead better and more fulfilling lives.

Sorry fo the delay. Please find the attachment of proposed Hr System. One main point is missing that is freezing organization structure before starting all functions. That will help you in manpower planning. Give grades to all level and freeze responsibilities, salary package etc. It will help you in recruitment as well. That is my personal observation in my current company and working on the same thing. And if you have something related to that please share even it may be helpful to me as well.

I'm extremely sorry & I hope you'll forgive me. but you have mentioned regarding USA about killing that is not correct only very few individuals working like that & you are blaming all Americans. Such type of activity is happening everywhere in the world but due to ban on Press/media, geographical condition and other factor prevent to spread such type of news in the world, again I apologise to you.

landing a job does not necessitate that you have to pass for interview or exam or any kind of test most especially if your family is a part owner of the corporation or relative by affinity or consaguinity or friends. The trust and confidence to a person may sometimes become a basis in hirng that person to a particular job regardles of his stocked knowledge. There are even instances wherein you see people hired "square pegs in a round hole " but make good because of their determination to learn and perform the job. Sometimes the company see people of their potentials to learn rather than their possesed ability. In other words it is the attitude towards the job and most especially the social behavior. There are a lot of individuals doing very well in their job assignments far beyond their studied courses, while others excelled.

It is true that people pose queries for which answers already exist in the site and you have also hit the nail on the head particularly with reference to questions like what is the difference between CL and PL etc. but not every query particularly those that relate to the modes,methods and systems of doing or going about HR functions, though seemingly repetitive,simple or basic, may not fall under the beaten track category. The reason for this is that the questioner, more so if he were some senior in the profession, might have already gone through the replies but might not find it satisfying his enquiry. He may be searching for different perceptions to the issue or different leadership styles to manage the issue or proper interpretation of a legal provision or may want to do a particular process differently.Therefore he might choose to toss the so called seemingly repetitive question into the open and may provoke a kind of brain storming so that some thing novel and different might emerge.It is said God is found in smaller details.It is some one's experience that when he appeared for the interview of a HR post, he was given a questionnaire on HR and one of the questions is that what is the name of the person who sweeps the floor clean in his office in the morning which he could not answer and consequently could not land himself in the job.It is a simple question but emphasizes the importance of the process of 'know them by their name' in interpersonal relations.since he too is an important human resource.We may be unfair to them if we are critical about them for asking a repetitive questions that may admit a reply different from others hither to given.

Kumar, there is no problem, I was not upset by your comments. If I say something that others do not agree with, that is fine. I am a strong believer in healthy debate and welcome constructive comments on anything I say.
As for the remark about guns and Americans, it was meant to be a little tongue-in-cheek. I know that the horrific crimes are committed by a very small percentage of people, and that most Americans are law abiding and share our horror of those senseless crimes.
My original point was that I do not believe the "American Way" is necessarily right. Yet so many people around the world slavishly follow America. Not all their ideas and ways of doing things are suitable for every country and culture. Where ever you are, you need to be mindful of your own cultures, and develop ideas and techniques THAT WORK FOR YOU. Even many Americans tire of and despair of some of the idiotic things their colleagues come up with!
