Dear friends,
I am not sure whether Rakesh Panja's requirement is limited only to storing the particulars of Employees such as personal record, leave a/c etc. or all other related like pay roll, PF, ESI, TDS etc.
However having under gone some experience in employees' pay roll it is advisable not to go in for Exclusive SW developed with strange OS & platforms/languages. Especially in case of one with source code/key. Such in house made ( using outside expertise) many a time poses problems when processing, alterations, migration, updation etc. It should be prudent to use a commonly used SW for which more than a few consultants are available in close range who could be called in any time & capable of updating the SW at short notice. This will enable us to avoid sleepless nights. The TALLY software is coming with these applications including accounting which can be tried after testing with demo.
