Hi,
I am Moumita, I am working with an IT company whose head office is at Bangalore, but i am working in the regional office which is at Kolkata with an employee strength of 20 + .
My question is
Do I need to register my company again in Kolkata for EPF/ESIC separately, or the Establishment code no. which they have in Bangalore for EPF and Esic will serve the purpose for putting that in employee salary slip and the deductions to be done on monthly basis for EPF/ESIC.
Seniors please help.
Regards
Moumita

Hi,
You do not need register for PF but you need to get the ESIC sub code for Kolkata, you can get the sub code of ESIC in onlie.
Get the main code and password----> click on the "create subunit Registration" and give the particulars as software asking us.

Hi Moumita You have to apply for SUB-CODE for ESIC. Now a days every thing was computerised. Sub-code is not a compulsion one.For PF, if you want you can apply for Sub-code Regards V.Subbarao

Dear
Apart from the above replies by Hon'ble Forum members, i would like to draw you attention to the provision stipulated in section 2 (A) of the EPF and MP Act, 1952 which makes provision for registration of already registered establishment on administrative ground in the different area/SRO of PF Department. For better execution of the compliance, you can go for separate PF Code. As as far as question of ESI belongs, you have to go for separate ESI Code at Kolkota for getting full benefit of the ESI Scheme.

Dear Yadav Sir,
Can you please clarify:
If the registered office of a company does not have any employees and all the employees are working from a Branch Office situated in a different state, can the Branch be registered with EPFO instead of registered office.
