1. Who can run the canteen in an Industrial establishment and What the company has to provide for establishment and running of the canteen? Whether a labor contractor can run the canteen?
2. . Whether the Act imposes subsidized sale of food stuffs to the workmen?
3. A Labour contractor can run the canteen in industrial establishment? If the act permits or not ?

You can go throug the CLRA 1970 Chapter V: WELFARE AND HEALTH OF CONTRACT LABOUR sec 16 because giving you reply by text is quit hard. Law needs to refer than only you will get total understanding of meaning behind the section.

1. Its the descrition of management/employer by whom he wants to run canteen their is no act/law who debar an labour contractor to run a canteen. basically when the requirement of canteen applicable in an industrial establishment then the wmployer have to arrange for run a canteen weather he hire a food supplier weather fixed a canteen contractor who can be a a labour contractor also but their should be certian condetions (a) their should be a seprate dianing hall, kitchen, store room etc (b) a canteen committe contains workers & management representative have total estimate of canteen affairs, displaying of menu etc.
2. Act is not provide to subsidized of itoms it is total depend on employer
3. No act debar to runa canteen by a labour contractor
