Hi Forum members
I would like to get clarification on the following
If suppose an employee is under ESI, he reports to duty for the first day, and in case even before he fills the ESI forms mets with the accident and dies in the office. What is the legal and statutory coverage he will be getting
In case the employee had died after filling it and before the same was submitted to ESI officials by the employer
Does he have any statutory protection

Hi
An employee is covered only if he get IP no. so if he died before filling of ESI form, he is not eligible for ESI coverage but he filled and got IP no. then he and his dependents is entitled to get coverage and benefits.
Thanks
