Hi Dipika,

It is nice to note that you are working as Asst.Professor. But, you said in one of the "well known Organisation" do you mean one of the well known colleges....pl clarify...

If you have joined recently, how do you feel about teaching the subjects on HR. How passionate you are in teaching....If you are series in pursuing a career in teaching in future, pl pursue your PhD in a subject relevant to society which is ever-wanted and ever-updated for the utility of the students...

Topics like EMPLOYEE MOTIVATION, EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT, TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT are more relevant to employees/workers/Supervisors/Executives of Lower/Middle/Top management of some Business Organisations wherein these terms are very frequently heard....It will be like a cake-walk for someone who is engaged in an organisation and observed people around for a specific period in different portfolios...the observations in such cases, will be accurate and relevant to your research problem. Research & job goes hand n glow in such organisations.

Being in the line of teaching, if you chose a topic relevant to industry, your ability to balance your research may get diluted as you would have tough time doing your job and visiting some target industry for your research...they will certainly not be parallel to each other....

I would suggest you to pursue a topic of more relevance to enable you to administer your questionnaires, preparation of hypothesis, data collection at an arm's length, it would not only be easy for you to progress in research but also gives new vistas of teaching in your college.

Pl think about it and revert back for any further inputs....

Regards.
