We have been discussing in this forum, about the performance evaluation of employees. But I am here bringing one fact that the performance of a HR Manager, not only the HR Manager but also the persons of HR department. It is much important to a HR Manager to behave with polite manner to his staff, workers, management and even to outsiders. I served for 25 years as a Personnel Officer in an industry having more than 1000 employees and highly felt sorry to write this as I got one incident. My nephew got an assignment in a highly reputed organization in Chennai for project work. He was, actually, got the assignment only on recommendation too. But the experience he met there, as he told me since I am in that field, unexplainable. The HR manager of the organization did not care on the trainees came for project as they are disturbance for their daily routine work. The Company Secretary just gave the necessary formats like Memorandum / of Articles of Association for reference and just to go through and learn themselves. Being a college final year students, they did not seen before a company and its operations, the company seniors should guide them properly as the youngsters are going to rule the forthcoming world. If they find no time to do so, they should not allow persons for training or project work. We gave many aspirants to do project work in our company and by hearing this from my sister's son, I just ashamed.

Your message, Mr Ramachandran, to the HR fraternity is loud & clear. H R staff in any organization have to be a personification of 'good behavior & personal conduct' at all times. They have to set an example for others. Only then the H R climate of the organization shall be perceived by the environment as congenial.
Your illustration needs appreciation by all right thinking people.
