Dear Ms. Shraddha Bhambani,

A company always requires a Hierarchy for its employees to establish the different levels to identify the chain of command and effectively communicate the process. That is the perspective an Organization structure had come into place. One can identify their position & reporting structure in unison to perform simplest of the tasks. In a small group the Management could take an immediate decision to functionally achieve objectives variedly larger group have levels in the management - Basic level, Mid- level and the Top level to ascertain the needs accordingly.

Similary, the groups differ in various departments. Importantly the First/ Basic level perform the work to outcome results which has to be ultimately scrutinized by the supervisors and report it to their Mid Managers like GM's/ DM's and RM's. However, the decision is left to the Top level who understand the need specified and entrusted. At an outset, "procedures make policies better" - for a regimented process.

Hello,

A human body comprises many systems.

When all these systems work in sync the body is seen to be performing well!

An organization works through various skills, systems, processes and functions.

When these work in sync the organization is seen to be working well.

A human body has a heart, blood circulation, nerves, muscles, indeed various organs like limbs, ears, nose, eyes etc and finally a MIND!

In case of an organization you see many similarities like, skills, knowledge, functions, the doers and thinkers, (those who do things and those who get things done!

For many systems to work in sync to achieve its objectives a structure is needed.

A body needs the "skeleton" without which the very functioning of the body despite various other systems and capabilities is hampered to a large degree!

An organization also needs a "skeleton" for all other systems to work efficiently. This skeleton is called "Organizational Structure" or a "HIERARCHY".

Each system whether in a human body or an in organization can perform fairly independently but in sync and if in both-if the "Hierarchy" in case of an organization and a "Skeleton" in case of a human body (both are called structure) either malfunction or fail the rest of the systems become dysfunctional.

Trust you have your answers now!

Regards
