Dont be disheartened by this, almost all projects receive negative feedback from some place or the another it is not advisable to change topic in the middle, hence to try to complete the project with maximum emphasis on research and questionnaires and interpret the result, may i know on which topic you are doing research?

Sir,
I haven't started my research yet. I need to start it from january 2nd. But before that i need to get the title confirmation from my college.Yesterday (15/12/12) i had to do my project title confirmation with my staff but they were not happy with the topic ( a study on effectiveness of recruitment and selection at firstsource solutions). They feel it is a common topic, they are expecting for some new topics , but my problem is that , the organisation wants me to do my project on recruitment and selection.

So it would be of great help if you could suggest me a topic based on recruitment and selection process , which is not a common one, so that i can satisfy both the organisation and my college.

well. here are some ideas that i hope can be useful:
1- Using Web Based HRIS and social networks for recruitment and selection
2- Use of psychometric testing in screening & selection process
3- Types of advertisement techniques and interfaces to attract certain calibre to the job in mind and screen applicants through the way they applied to the ad.

Well daisy your topic is just ""a study on effectiveness of recruitment and selection at firstsource solutions"" you can take a more specific topic like given by Rana Swidan, a topic should be specific yours is a generic one which will leave for more and more research:
like if you take types of advertisement techniques & interfaces:
In that you have to first access the current advertisement techniques in that company firstsource solutions, then compare those techniques and their responses: then you have to find a new technique of advt and then suggest firstsource to go for trial and see its results then compare with old techniques and come to a suitable conclusion. In the end you should be able to portray that how your survey project was useful to firstsource like did it help save money on ad and get more candidates or not.... This involves extensive research and surveys, etc, etc, you need to tabulate and compare datas,
