You will get into trouble over that
Second, please remember that there is a restriction on over time. Your total overtime can not exceed 50 hours a quarter.
It's important for you to shift to an 8 hour shift

Check sec 64 and 65 of factories act. Further, check the factory rules applicable to your state. The limit is set in the rules.

Hi, I have got few doubt.
1. An employee is working from 9 to 5.30 for five days which amounts to 8.5 hours/day and 42.5 hours/week. Deducting 48-42.5 hours, the remaining 5.5 hrs/week can be utilized during any emergency. So if an employee is working 10 hours excess, then can we deduct 5.5 hours from that and remaining 4.5 hours can be paid as OT. Is this right?
2. Does that 9 hours in a day is inclusive of Morning, Lunch & Evening break?
